Eileen O Doherty was the stage name of Annie Walker - Joe Stanley's wife. From the very successful Walker family of Abbey Players, Annie was the younger sister of Maire Nic Siubhlaigh - Irelands First Leading Lady and the older sister to Patricia (Gypsy) - and many many years later Annie simply became Granny Stanley to all of us.
But before Annie got that last role there was her Abbey CV along with some of the accolades that came her way and recorded in The Abbey Archives. . .
